Report a calculator discrepancy

Include the page address, tax year, tax region, rounded gross salary, pension method and contribution basis, and loan plan. Explain the result you expected and link to the official guidance supporting it. You can use invented example figures if the issue also occurs with those figures.

Do not send your National Insurance number, bank details, employer records or an unredacted payslip. Shared calculator links include input settings in the address. Review those settings before sending a link.

Suggest a guide correction

Tell us which passage is unclear or outdated, the affected tax year and the official source. Guides display their source-review dates. We use substantive checks to update that date; a routine rebuild does not count as a new review.

Questions about your own tax

We cannot change your tax code, access your HMRC records or submit a tax refund. For your individual position use HMRC’s Income Tax service, your payroll team or an appropriately qualified adviser. Read our methodology to understand what an annual estimate covers.

Privacy requests

Use the same email for questions about personal information handled by the site. Advertising and Analytics choices can be reviewed through Privacy settings once Google’s consent service is available. See the privacy policy.
